Rossano Ferraris currently holds the title of Senior Security Researcher for the Total Defense division of the former CA Technologies Internet Security Business Unit (CA ISBU), where he is charged with analysis and tracking of emerging threats and is a leading member of the Global Internet Security Intelligence Team.
Rossano has a broad range of security expertise, including digital forensic analysis, for which he is a consultant to the Police and Public Prosecutor’s Office for computer-related crimes in Italy. He also collaborates with Anti-Crime Italian Police for forensic analyses against child-pornography actions.
Rossano is the author of many articles on security matters, a book on the spyware phenomenon, and is the creator of the SecuritySurfer blog (http://www.securitysurfer.it).
He is an active member of various security forums and a member of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) and the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA). He holds a degree in Computer Science as well as the following industry certifications: GREM, GCFA and GCIH.
