Methusela “Meths” Cebrian Ferrer joined CA ISBU in mid 2008 as Senior Researcher leading Internet Security Intelligence initiative. Her focus is proactive research, identifying emerging and prevalent threats to provide strategic security response through product solutions, internal & external awareness, and research analysis.
Meths’ started with Trend Micro in 2001 as antivirus engineer and later became process owner where she defines and manages projects and processes relating to Antivirus operation. In 2007, she worked with antivirus and anti-spyware products of PC Tools, in Sydney Australia while she started to develop interest in Mac OS X threats.
Meths actively contributes her technical understanding through CA Security Advisor, authoring article in Hackin9 (4/2009) magazine, VB2009 speaker in Geneva, Switzerland, EICAR2010 conference in Paris, France and VB2010 speaker in Vancouver, Canada. Her research interest covers Reverse Engineering, Mac OS X security threats, Mobile malware, Security Visualization and Open Source and Collective Security Intelligence.
Meths extends her passion through iThreats.net while maintaining a relationship and collaboration with fellow researchers across security community.
