Ken Blackwell is senior vice president and chief architect at CA Technologies, responsible for the technical direction of the company’s Service Assurance products and contributes to CA Technologies corporate technical strategy through membership in the CA Distinguished Engineer Council.
Ken joined CA Technologies in 2009. Previously, Ken was co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of Bristol Technology, Inc., a leading provider of business transaction management software, which was sold to HP in 2007. Ken also was a founder and CTO of Kenosia Corporation, a leading provider of retail data analytics solutions, which was sold to HALO Technology Holdings in 2005.
At HP, Ken lead the integration of Bristol products and personnel into HP and continued to evangelize the importance of transaction management into the financial services, telecommunications, and other key vertical markets. Prior to Bristol, Ken held positions in research at IBM and software development at NCR Corporation.
Thorough his 25 years in the industry Ken has worked extensively with diverse vertical markets such as banking and insurance, retail, government intelligence, telecommunications, and manufacturing.
He is a frequent industry speaker, writer, and has multiple patents issued or pending.
Ken received a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Millsaps College, a Bachelor of Engineering degree in electrical engineering from Vanderbilt University, and a Master of Science degree in computer engineering from National Technology University.
