    Broadcom Ideas Program

    Announcement of Improvements

    Broadcom Mainframe Software Community Members,

I'm happy to announce that we are re-launching the Broadcom Ideas Program (formerly named "Ideation") with a renewed focus on communication and simplification.

You can learn more about the program in this FAQ.

We have interviewed customers and product teams to identify opportunities for improvement. We are committed to improving this experience. Your feedback is valuable, and the Community Ideas forum has been a missed opportunity.

Our Renewed Commitment to You: Communication and Simplification

We can't promise to implement every idea, but we can promise that every idea you submit will be reviewed, prioritized, and replied to in a timely manner.

    • Our product teams have committed to reviewing all new ideas on a regular basis and sharing them within the product communities to encourage conversation and voting.
    • We will make it clear which ideas are at the top of the priority list. To enable this, each product has set a threshold for the number of "open" ideas. All other ideas will be closed. We hate to reject a good idea, but it's clear from our customer interviews that you'd rather have an idea rejected than left open indefinitely.
    • We are renaming statuses and reducing from 11 to 7 options. (Explore the new Status Definitions)

    What Happens Next?

Now that product teams have set a threshold for an acceptable number of "open" ideas, we will be doing some cleanup. This means triaging ideas and closing those that are not top priority. Watch your product communities for a product-specific announcement about timelines and prioritization efforts.

We look forward to collaborating with you to build the best mainframe software in the industry!
