The role of the CIO has certainly changed, since the nature of business has changed, said Lokesh. “It's no longer a question of alignment; CIOs need to be hand-in-glove with the business. The time the CIO spends should not be on trying to focus on building his or her own datacentres and managing them — that part should be automated; almost a no-brainer.
