Prague in November… Why bother?

Ask me where I would like to go in mid November for 4 days and I would probably mention a country like Egypt, Israel or Tenerife.
Something with a nice temperature, sun and sand...

Ask me again, and mention 4 days packed with the latest and greatest on DB2, networking with peers from all across EMEA, having a good conversation with them about the state of the mainframe, challenges, successes and horror stories. And mention Prague, one of the nicest cities in Europe and I would quickly change my mind.

IDUG EMEA is one of the events I really look forward to every year, and especially the CA Technologies DB2 User Day. No other event is so focused around one particular product, and nowhere do I meet so many dedicated, motivated and knowledgeable people. With sessions from the makers of DB2 (IBM), software vendors presenting the latest and greatest DB2 solutions to manage and optimize DB2 and sessions from experts and users sharing their knowledge. As a DB2 Database expert, there is simply no other place to acquire so much knowledge in such a pleasant way.

Of course we will host our annual DB2 User Day on the Sunday prior to IDUG, where we will present our vision and strategy on DB2. We also have a user presentation from Martin Gudmundsson from Volvo IT about their use of CA Technologies DB2 tools, an insight in the CA Labs by Steen Rasmussen and of course many other interesting sessions. And for those wondering; YES, the new DB2 v10 Reference Guide & DB2 Poster will be available again!!!
