ITIL and COBIT – Friends or competitors!

It must be the pre-summer (or pre-winter in the southern hemisphere) conference season, as I have attended 3 in as many weeks. I have to admit I was getting a bit weary of hotel rooms, food and even pools. Now that I am back in the office, it's time to get the message out of what I learned during my travels. So let's start with ITIL and COBIT. ISACA recently launched COBIT 5, a framework for the governance of enterprise IT, and one of the questions I have been asked consistently is when will COBIT replace ITIL? Well, I have the answer. Just take a look at a recent video I shot while attending the ISACA North America CACS conference.
