If you happen to be in Wellington, New Zealand in May this year, or would like to be, I’d like to encourage you to take a look at one of the best events planned for 2009—the itSMF New Zealand Annual Conference.  The event will be held at the Convention Centre in Wellington between May 11 and 13 May 2009.  It promises to be one of the best IT Service Management events on the calendar and has a fantastic array of speakers.

The theme this year is “Cooking with ITSM: Cost-Effective Recipes for Success.” Using the IT Service Management cookbook (ITIL) a feast is skillfully prepared with flavors from around the world, using only the best products and suppliers.

Even the best chefs can't do it all on their own without the help of People, Process, Products and Partners.  How’s that for stretching a metaphor?  I personally will be delivering multiple sessions including a keynote titled “Governance for your ITSM Implementation.” Take a look at the website for more information.

For those of you who can make it – Bon Appétit!

This event is excellent as it is totally focused on IT Service Management best practice for Service Management practitioners.  Knowing Robert the  ValIT workshop and the 'Governance for your ITSM Implementation' sessions he is facilitating will be a lot of fun and give us some great take-aways :)

This is also a conference that actually delivers real value for money.  There are high quality speakers both international and local at a price that is extremely reasonable.  The conference is always a lot of fun with a gala diner and a speed networking session which was the highlight for many last year.

Thought provoking, relevant content, excellent speakers, at a great price plus a lot of fun - well worth taking the time and making the investment to attend.
