Privileged administrators are central to the operation of any datacenter, whether on your premise or in the cloud. While the vast majority of IT administrators are honest and careful, many of the most high profile security breaches that have occurred have been caused by willful actions by a problematic minority. The emergence of the cloud makes the issue of controls for privileged administrators more complex, because now the privileged administrators are both yours and those of the cloud provider.
