CA Speaking at ISACA Information Security and Risk Management Conference Next Week

Attending the ISACA Information Security and Risk Management Conference (ISRMC) in Amsterdam next week? According to ISACA, this new event is an adaptation of the Network Security Conference and the Information Security Management Conference that combines elements of each to be an all encompassing security event. The goal is to merge network security, information security management and risk management into a single educational conference.
Our colleague Yves Le Roux, a contributor on this blog, will be presenting on three separate panels at the event. Following are the details:
On Monday, November 9th, 2009 from 1:30 – 3:00 pm, Yves will participate on a panel covering “The Business Model for Information Security.” In this session, Yves and representatives from Intralot and Sapphire will help attendees:

Understand the business challenges that organizational leaders and security managers need to confront

Evaluate traditional approaches and models used to address these challenges

Understand systemic thinking as a better way of thinking about information protection solutions

Recognize the concepts contained within the Business Model for Information Security as a suitable solution
On Tuesday, November 10th, from 9:00 – 10:30 am, Yves and a representative from National Government Services will lead a session on “Harmonization of Standards ISO, ITIL, COBIT, NIST.” Attendees of this session will learn how to:

Determine the similarities and differences between standards

Interpret the standards and requirements

Distinguish when to use the different standards

Apply standards effectively
Finally, also on Tuesday, November 10th, from 3:30 – 5:00 pm, Yves will present “A Step-By-Step Guide To Efficient Role Management.” In this session, Yves will help attendees:

Understand the value of role management and how to achieve that value in the most efficient manner

Recognize a best practice role management approach that will improve project success

Comprehend often overlooked considerations in role management and how to make them work for your enterprise
