Today, in MainframeZone's Big Iron Blog, Bob Thomas discusses this week's announcement by CA Technologies of the next wave of Mainframe 2.0 product and program deliveries. In his blog, Bob points out that Mainframe vendors across the board are continuously working to help companies get the most from their IT investment while reducing costs, and he salutes these efforts.
The Mainframe continues to be strategic to IT, and to their evolving cloud strategies, and IT organizations are under pressure to lower TCO for computing. With many of the world's largest and most successful companies relying on Mainframes, they need vendors to help them achieve this goal on that platform. And that's what CA Technologies new product releases and program enhancements are about.
Indeed, this is the third annual delivery by CA Technologies of a bevy of new Mainframe software to help customers lower costs, simplify management and increase operational efficiency. And this just six months after delivering CA Mainframe Chorus and CA Mainframe Chorus for DB2 Database Management, and only thirteen months after the last wave of Mainframe 2.0 deliveries.
Stay tuned, there's more to come...
