Yesterday was another exciting day at CA World 2010.
Ajei Gopal, Executive Vice President, kicked off things with a very well received Technology keynote.
On the Virtualization and Service Automation (VSA) opening session, Roger Pilc, GM, VSA business unit, outlined CA's vision for the virtualization and automation product portfolio. Key executives from VMware and Cisco and others were on stage with Roger to support CA Technologies' vision of providing comprehensive capabilities for virtualization management.
One of the significant announcements from the day was CA's support for Cisco UCS platform in CA's flagship data center automation product CA Spectrum Automation Manager as well as industry leading Service Assurance products CA Spectrum Infrastructure Manager and CA eHealth Performance Manager. This is a perfect example of CA's strategy to building integrated solutions for our customers who are boldly moving into new paradigms of virtualization and automation.
Finally, there was another major announcement for CA's "virtual-only" portfolio of products - CA Virtual Assurance, CA Virtual Automation and CA Virtual Configuration. I discussed the customer maturity and the associated needs for management capabilities in my previous post. The introduction of these products adds new offerings for our customers at different levels of virtualization maturity. The CA Virtual family inherits many key capabilities from CA enterprise-level infrastructure managers but in very easy to deploy products specifically geared towards virtual administrators.
We continue to engage with customers and partners with several exciting sessions. For more details about the agenda, please go here.
